Independent Wound Care Sales Representative – Salt Lake City, UT (Commission-Only, 1099)
We are seeking motivated sales professionals and nurses who understand the earning potential of a straight-commission, part-time role (you can keep your current job, since there will likely be two meetings per week to start during lunch hour with doctors and less follow-up with closed accounts than most med sales roles. But preference is given to those who will want to make this their full time eventually (most reps do)). We provide full training, so most new hires are up and running within just a couple of days, with ongoing support and resources provided.
Important Reality Check – Please Read Before Applying
This is NOT a “get-rich-in-30-days” job. Many new reps close their first account on visit #1 or #2… but some need 5, 6, or even 8 visits before the doctor pulls the trigger. Reps with existing connections to sub-acute facilities, wound care clinics, podiatrists, home health agencies, and nursing homes close deals the fastest — often within the first 1–3 visits. Reps without those connections still succeed, but it can take longer (5+ visits). If you expect instant sales or tend to disappear after a few “no’s,” this role is not for you. We only want people who will stick with the process until the flywheel starts spinning.
Preference is given to candidates with a background in medical or medical sales, as well as existing connections in sub-acute facilities, nursing homes, or home health organizations. This network can help you gain traction quickly and secure provider accounts faster.
Unlike most medical sales positions that require constant prospecting and headhunting, we provide qualified leads directly to our sales reps. This makes the role one-of-a-kind and highly competitive, as you’ll spend more time building relationships and closing sales rather than cold-calling. While many apply, we only bring on top-tier talent as we continue to grow.
We are currently expanding in multiple markets, with Salt Lake City as a top priority where we do not yet have representatives.
Earnings Example — Declining Wound Size
A single patient starting with a 100 cm² wound, decreasing by 10 cm² after each treatment across 10 treatments, would generate the following commissions at $65 per cm:
First treatment: $6,500 · Second: $5,850 · Third: $5,200 · Fourth: $4,550 · Fifth: $3,900
Sixth: $3,250 · Seventh: $2,600 · Eighth: $1,950 · Ninth: $1,300 · Tenth: $650
Total = $35,750 from just one patient. Many physicians manage multiple practices with dozens of patients, creating substantial earning potential.

Your Role
Attend pre-scheduled lunch-hour meetings (bringing a light lunch for the staff is expected and standard in medical sales – typically $75–$150, paid by rep, reimbursed after first closed account)
Present and educate healthcare professionals on our Medicare-covered wound care solution
Close deals and develop long-term relationships with providers
Optionally prospect your own leads if you have an existing medical network
Work independently with full support from our sales and operations team
Requirements
100% commission-based sales experience (medical sales strongly preferred)
Strong closing skills and ability to build relationships with healthcare providers
Entrepreneurial mindset – this is a 1099 position, and you must set up your own LLC
Motivated, professional, and results-driven
Willingness to drive up to 90 minutes each way for a meeting (most are much closer, but some key accounts are farther out)
