So I would usually never post something like this, but since desperation calls here it goes. I came out here a week ago for a job up in Park City and worked a week, and was supposed to be on the Job til this Sunday, when they abruptly canceled my teams position, and sent us packing with only 2 compensated nights in SLC, and no extra help in getting home. My flight back to the East Coast is on Tuesday and I have looked into changing it, but it has been impossible to get the airline to change it for me, and I have spent the little I have on a cheap motel room for 2 nights since then, on a smoke filled room at a dive motel in Downtown SLC while I wait for what I’m owed to get deposited. Needless to say I’m in a bad predicament for a few days and just putting it out here to see if anyone has answers or has the willingness in their heart to help.
I am a very sane and normal 35 y.o w/ no criminal background, and I don’t know this area super well, but I have no idea where to stay until I can figure this out. I am very capable of many things and would be willing to work any small jobs as well in trade for a place to crash or store my things. I am also open to any suggestions for places to stay/work until I can get home. If anyone has it in their heart to help I’d be super appreciative.
