PRICE DROP. Includes two “MAX-Wall 200” kits (2 panels each kit, 4 panels total) in the two big original boxes. “Charcoal” gray color. $199 total, which saves you almost 60% (retail is $244 per kit, for a total of $488 for the two kits). Order both of mine for only $199 total, and there's no tax or shipping expenses either. Whether you check directly with Auralex or any other online retailers that sell their products, they all charge full retail price (some of them charge more). Even listings for used Auralex products usually sell for near-retail.
They are in excellent condition, and have never been in an environment with smokers or pets.
Each panel is large and thick (48″ × 20″ × 4″) but they can easily be moved around for different acoustic situations. They were only unboxed and placed in my home studio room for short periods of time, years ago. Then they were put back in their original shipping boxes (sent to me directly from Auralex when I bought these kits NEW back then) and have since been stored in my parents’ house near St George, Utah. I thought it was better to store things like this in a dry climate.
I now live in Herriman. LMK if you have any questions. Cash only. I'd rather not ship these big boxes (would be expensive) but if you don't live too far away, maybe we could both drive and meet around halfway.
(BTW, I have some other A/V gear listings here, and if you buy more than one of my listings, you'll get an extra discount.)
For decades, Auralex has had a stellar reputation for acoustic treatment. The extra thickness of their "MAX-Wall" provides superior absorption, to control reflections and bass issues in a home studio or a home theater/theatre.
In case you are interested in more details, I’ll copy/paste some more info from the Auralex site:
The MAX-Wall™ is a portable, acoustic treatment system with excellent broadband absorption, and a fairly high degree of isolation, by virtue of the thickness and density of the panels. Its NRC rating is 1.05, it comes in three primary colors and is available in a variety of sizes. The patented, modular, interlocking design allows for adjustable panel height and a gap-free enclosure that offers seemingly endless configuration possibilities. Each panel is 48" wide and 20″ tall, with a thickness of 4″.
For those instances where sight lines are desirable, an acrylic window MAX-Wall™ panel is also offered. Bonus Tips: Position MAX-Wall™ panels behind you when mixing and you’ll be amazed at how much better you hear into the source material. Also, position your MAX-Wall™ a few inches out from the rear wall of your control room, where it will function as a very effective axial mode bass trap.
