Super minty, full carbon Pinarello Paris road racing bike.
This bike was $6500 new... with full SRAM Red. (The Paris model has historically been either the #1 or #2 best / highest / most expensive frame in the Pinarello line up--with the Dogma now being the only higher level / more expensive option.)
Pinarello's full 50HM1.5K high mod carbon frame and fork
- Asymmetrical design
- Fast, fast, fast geometry but more comfortable than the Dogma
- Internally cabled
This bike has had a few slight mods from the factory build:
- Ultegra crankset - slightly heavier than the original SRAM Red crank but stiffer / higher quality.
- 11 speed SRAM Red rear derailleur and cassette (shifter is still a 10 spd but shifting is still spot on and affordable and easy to upgrade to 11 spd shifting if desired)
- Mavic Ksyrium wheelset - again, slightly heavier but higher quality than the OEM Fulcrums
- SRAM Force brakeset - again, slightly heavier but stiffer / stronger calipers than the factory SRAM Reds
- 3T carbon drop bars - I just wanted a different shape and size... but probably considered a slight upgrade from the factory original Most bars
- Diamondback 7 degree stem - changed out for fitting purposes... comparable in weight and quality to original Most stem
The bike also has newer chain and cassette with less than 300 miles on them... and a recent tune / adjust at Contender in SLC.
Also has newer Conti Gatorskins on it--certainly the most popular and arguable the best all-around road tire for the money.
Bar tape is a leopard print that is overall in good shape but the leopard spots are worn off where I touch the bar the most.
I'll include the flip/flop Shimano pedals (flat / platform on one side, SPD's on the other) if you want them. I have some other more road-specific options if you prefer... SPD-SL or Speedplay.
In terms of sizing, the TOP tube measures around 51cm... and the seat tube is more like 47cm. Which is common in sloping / European framesets. The shorter seat tube gives you more options when fitting... to dial in the perfect saddle height. So in terms of rider heights, I'd say anywhere from about 5'-3 to 5'6... with +/- 1" of wiggle room either direction with a little more fitting. (For example, if you are on the shorter side of that range, you'll likely need to put a shorter stem on the bike--if you're on the taller side of that range you'll likely need to put a longer stem on the bike. But stems are cheap... starting in the +/- $20 for a basic stem--but of course, going up to $200+ for a super high-end carbon stem by Zipp or Time). But these things are deal with during the fitting process.
Overall the condition is fantastic. Just basic wear and tear from typical riding. No crashes, no damage ANY kind to the frame or any of the components. The bike rides like showroom new--if not better--due to the above-mentioned mods.
And she is FAST. Like... every time I ride it I feel like racing someone fast. :)
I've never weighed the bike but it's very light... probably in the 16 to 17 lb range--without pedals or accessories. That's pro-racing level light. So this is a great climber with amazing handling.
Road frames are uni-sex... so doesn't matter if you are a boy or a girl, if you are in the right height / size range, you can ride this bike. The base color is matte white... with black and red graphics. That's about neutral as you can get on a road bike.
Pinarello's aren't as well known to consumers / entry level riders as the Big 4 brands in the US are (Giant, Specialized, Trek, Cannondale)--but they are VERY well known in racing circles--particularly in Europe--and are often on the podiums of the biggest races in the world.
