The Volkl Snow Ranger was a CRAZY popular skis, these were known for their ability to bust through crud but also ski powder too. Here's one review:

In soft snow, powder, broken snow, and other such conditions, they are like having a snowboard on each foot - if you ski them with a lot of angulation. This is where they really rip, but they also have the famous Volkl edges and can hold a nice edge when skied more-or-less "normally" on the groomed.

Stable at speed, even when going straight on the hardpack - something where I found most newer skis seriously deficient. They are even usable in bumps, but they are wide and have a metal layer so can bend. Highly recommended for emerging advanced intermediates.

These are 190 cm and are like new. It's hard to find a Snow Ranger in such mint condition! There aren't even scratches on these, and they have very high-end bindings.

I have a pair of Blizzard Titan Eights mounted with G3 tele bindings. They are 175cm.

The skis are almost brand new - used only TWICE. Because of this, they obviously still have a ton of life to them. They are snappy, powerful skis. Quite stiff and better for a fast, more aggressive skier. One of the days these skis were used was early season so there is a spot on the base where i hit a rock. I have repaired it with P-Tex, but i imagine it could be improved with a base weld. The bindings are not as new as the skis- but they are G3s and are pretty indestructible.

New, this was a $600 ski in 06/07 (probably worth $300 or so new by 09/10) and the bindings are worth over $100 new.

K2 Skis with Marker Bindings (SLC) $40

Just in time for ski season! I'm moving and I need to get rid of some equipment. I have some K2 Pat.X skis with Marker Bindings, for sale. This is a great package if you're looking to get into skiing for cheap or if you're a beginner to intermediate. The K2's are gently used, no big dents or scratches. They're 167's and slightly parabolic. Super all mountain fun and great for in the terrain park. I'm 5'7'' and 130 lbs and these skis were awesome and quick. They'd be great for anyone from 5' to about 5'8'', depending on your ability. The binding system is Marker M6.2. The bindings can be adjusted and I've never had a problem with them. They offer lots of support and control. All in all this is a great package for cheap. I can send more pics for those interested. Cash only please!
