This is a limited edition First Act guitar. It was part of a promo that Volkswagen did when you bought a new car. The guitar has V.W. symbols and logos on the knobs, neck, headstock, and case. It also has a matching serial number on the back of the headstock, which matched the car that it was sold with. But you don't have to like V.W.'s to like the style of this guitar. The guitar features: 2 Alnico V humbuckers, Volume control, tone control, 9-volt amp-modeling circuit, master volume control, distortion/clean switch, high boost/cut switch, preamp on/off switch, three-way pickup selector toggle switch. It also has a matching soft case. The only blemish is where the instrument cable plugged into the guitar; it had a slight crack there that was repaired. It is small and not very noticeable. Otherwise, the guitar is in like new condition. I also have the matching guitar amp, if you would like that too. I will sell it for $40 with the guitar, or $50 dollars if separately. These used to sell new for $350 back when all Ampeg's were made in the USA. They sold out to Loud Technologies and now all Ampeg's are Made in Vietnam with inferior quality to the original made in USA ampeg models. This model was bought brand new over 7 years back from Guitar Center in Cleveland, Ohio (where I am from) and meticulously cared for. It was played very little, as I was/am a touring DJ and had very little use for it. I used it in the studio for 1 hour and then it sat in storage at home. This amp is LOUD and it absolutely HONKS. Also has a nice reverb and footswitch. I had a custom cover made which comes with the amp.

Powered by two 6L6GCs and it has four 12AX7s in the pre amp stage. 60 watts through one 12� Sheffield speaker � it will blow your socks off!

Warwick Corvette Fretless Bass MINT (Capitol Hill) $600

I really can't stress enough what great condition this bass is in and how little it has been played. I bought this Warwick Corvette Fretless bass new in 2003, and only played it occasionally while I was in the jazz combo at Westminster College. The big reason why I didn't play the bass much has absolutely nothing to do with the tonal characteristics or the playability of the instrument; on the contrary, through whatever amp I played it, the 'Vette sounded like a million bucks. It turns out that jazz bass is a lot harder than punk rock bass, and as much as I love Eddie Gomez, I wasn't willing to put in the time to get to that level of musicianship in the genre.

The bass is in excellent condition, virtually no buckle rash, no dents. MEC passive single-coil pickups, Dean Markley flat-wound strings (still in good shape). Guitar includes Warwick gig bag, Levy's nylon strap, and Dunlop Straplock system. Bubinga body, wenge fingerboard, passive electronics, single-coil "j-bass" style pickups. This bass is no longer produced by Warwick and is already very difficult to find. You can occasionally come across the cheaper "rock bass" version, but they weren't made in Germany and feature lower quality components (like, for instance, an alder body and rosewood fingerboard). This thing is the real deal, famous Warwick tone plus the versatility and sound of a fretless. It's so beautiful (visually and aurally) that I hate to sell it, but it should be getting played.

Gallien-Krueger Backline 600 Bass Amp Head (w/ SKB Rack!) (Capitol Hill) $225

You are looking at a GK Backline 600 bass amplifier in a 4-space SKB rack unit. The head was purchased as a backup for my Ampeg SVT-4 and has only been used a handful of times (when I haven't wanted to lug the big one around). The amp pushes 300 watts, which is more than enough for even demanding environments (I played in a punk rock band, our drummer had a custom Pork Pie kit, one guitarist had a 6505 half-stack and the other a Mesa Dual Rectifier half-stack, and through my GK 4x10 Backline practice cab I kept up with everybody; it also drove my 8x10 without complaint). The unit has all of the basic features you'd want from a bass amp:

- 300 watts RMS output
- Effects loop
- 4-channel EQ
- Balanced XLR out (w/ lift switch)
- Dedicated tuner out
- Boost "valve" effect (which works surprisingly well for such an inexpensive head)
- 2 x 1/4" speaker outs
- 2 footswitchable channels (no footswitch included)
- 15dB pad
- Mute button (mutes speaker output, but keeps tuner output hot)

The channel option might be the best feature about this amp; if you want a little more growl on tap without having to pick up a stompbox (or a $2k Ric), the overdrive on this solid-state amp doesn't sound too bad. There is a footswitch option, but the amp didn't include one. Any one-button footswitch with a 1/4" TRS or TS plug should work. One note about the overdrive channel on the amp: I've heard that it's more difficult to use with active pickups, going from one channel to the other there can be some feedback when you switch to the gain channel with active pups.

Another nice thing about the Backline; since it's solid state (preamp and power), it's reliable and lightweight. No tubes to replace/overheat/damage your back. This cemented it's status for me as a go-to backup for gigging musicians, and a great amp for anybody who doesn't want to deal with the hassle and price of tubes.

If you look at the user reviews on Musician's Friend or Harmony Central, you will see that the average review of this amp lands it at a 7.5-8.5 rating; not bad for an amp that retails for under four hundred bucks! The quality is good, the tone is there.

The SKB rack is a RotoX (shallow) 4-space, with 2 of those spots taken up by the amplifier. There is room for a power conditioner and tuner, or tuner and compressor, etc. I liked having the empty space beneath the amp; better airflow as well as a spot to put my cables when transporting to and from gigs. The amplifier didn't include rackmount tabs, so mine are custom fabricated. If you don't want to keep the amp in the rack, the feet are still on it.

A little info about my general experience with the amp: I occasionally played the amp through a GK Goldline 8x10 cab, as well as a GK Backline 4x10 cab. I play Fender P-Basses (American and Highway One) with D'Addario Prosteels through a Fulltone Bassdrive pedal, generally that power-punk stuff that peaked in the '90s (think Bad Religion, Lagwagon, Face to Face, etc). As I mentioned, this was my backup amp but I did gig with it once or twice to be sure it was worth bringing on the road. The amp, while not having the "Ampeg sound" that my SVT-4 delivers, certainly had an impressive tone of it's own, and was loud enough to play small-medium clubs/bars without running into the PA. I have never had a single problem with the amplifier, and it is in great condition. In fact, it even still has that "new amp smell" once it gets cranking.

Given that ebay/craigslist have this amp used for $250 without a rack unit (retail $120), my PRICE IS FIRM.

Epiphone Les Paul Custom (Black, Modded, Hard Case) (Capitol Hill) $425

You are looking at an Epiphone Les Paul Custom in black. Included with the guitar is a factory Epiphone Les Paul hardshell case. The bridge-position pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan Custom unit, and was installed by Eric at Guitar Czar (Eric also did the setup work based on D'Addario 11s). The guitar is in very good condition, with some minor belt rash on the back of the guitar, a small amount of picking marks near the strings, and a small nick where the headstock binding meets the neck binding (paint/cosmetic only, no wood damage). The guitar, as you can see in the picture, has gold hardware (the stock black volume/tone knobs are in the case). This guitar was my #2 for several years, but now that I am done with touring I figure somebody should own it who will actually play it instead of having it sit in a closet in the case. The bridge pickup is set up a little low; the quality of the tone is better than the stock alcnico from Epiphone, but with it set lower the output isn't as hot as it could be. As a result, the pickup still sounds better than the stocker but stays clean better through amps that are traditionally muddy on the bottom with humbuckers (think Marshall JCMs, VOX ACs, etc). The guitar is an all-mahogany body, just like the original Gibson Les Paul Customs (modern versions feature a maple top).

The biggest difference between the Epi and Gibson Les Pauls is in the electronics, so having a high-quality bridge pickup like the SD Custom installed in this guitar is half the battle, particularly when it's installed by a pro like Eric. This guitar sounds fantastic for rockers who stay in the bridge position, and if you want to go with hotter output, you just need to move the pickup closer to the strings by a hair and she'll start screaming. The stock Alnico in the neck has always been smooth and creamy enough for my tastes, and since it's placed closer to the strings than the bridge, it breaks up faster with the volume cranked.

One other nice bonus, for more aesthetics-wary players: I've never been a big fan of the headstock shape on normal Epi Les Pauls. But the perimeter binding and split-diamond inlay really make a big difference in looks, IMO. I know the picture doesn't show it well, both from the angle and the re-sizing that craigslist automatically does when you upload an image. But, if you're into this sort of thing, jump to Sweetwater.com, Musiciansfriend.com, or SamAsh.com and compare the headstock from the Epi LP Custom to the headstock on the other Epiphone Les Pauls. Also, I think the rosewood on the Epi Custom is dyed to simulate the ebony fingerboard of the Gibson version; the fingerboard on this guitar is much darker than the rosewood on my Gibsons. The occasional (when necessary) lemon oil treatment preserves that look.

Musician's Friend and other online retailers are selling this thing for $700 new, but that doesn't include the hardshell case ($80), Duncan Straplock system ($20, gold to match the hardware), strap ($25) or the S-D pickup ($100+ after parts and labor). Similarly, ebay prices for this guitar have buy-it-now generally around the price I'm asking. As I mentioned above, all work on the guitar has been done by a pro, and I kept up on the cosmetics with Gibson guitar cleaner, so there's no orange peel or dull spots on the guitar from cleaning agents. That said, my price is firm.

I am looking to either sale or trade this guitar for a Stratocaster type. Hardtails are preferred, but I will consider any offers for trade. What is cool about this guitar is that is shaped kind strat like but has the sustain and resonance that only a good Gibson SG or Les Paul has. This has a very nice heavy sustaining sound.
By the serial this is a 1979 model right in the era of the lawsuit models. The neck is set-in and is 3 piece maple. The body is solid mahogany with Ash cap on the back and front. It has many dings in the finish.
I have one original pickup. It was made by DiMarzio. It is the V2. It did not have another pickup in it when I bought it. Currently it has 2 rosewood humbuckers that are Alnico 5 magnet copies of the Seymour Duncan Jazz/JB set.
The tuners have been replaced by Schaller tuners. It holds its tuning well and is a great guitar.
I am in NO hurry to sell it. Like I said I am looking forward to getting a hardtail strat so I can wait, unless you have a trade I cannot refuse.

This amp is a beautiful 2008 AER Compact 60 Acoustic Amp. Always babied, and used primarily in my smoke free studio, as a small PA for practices, and at small coffee shop gigs, this amp is in absolutely mint condition. If you haven't heard one of these little amps, you're in for a treat. It will fill the room with crystalline sound that will rival amps many times its size. Words cannot describe the quality of this amp. This one is killing me to sell, but the money has to come from somewhere and I already have a PA. So come and get it! This amp is a beautiful 1999 Fender Bassman RI (first year of the reissues!). Always babied, and used primarily in my smoke free studio, church, and at small coffee shop gigs, this amp is in great shape. I won't lie, it has a couple of years that have left a couple minor marks, but in general it looks great and has a great "old school" feel. Functionally it is PERFECT! This is an amazing amp (I'm really sorry to see it go) with a classic rock and blues tone. I had it professionally modified with a bias pot, so no more "try-'n-see" power tube changes. One twist of the knob and presto; you're dialed in! It has also had the tweed shellac coated with an amber tint. It looks completely retro (so much so that I frequently have guitarists ask how I got my hands on that vintage Bassman�Kand then they look a bit closer.) The illusion is convincing to say the least. Other than those two changes, she's "stock as a rock", but does have new tubes. I'm also including a custom made channel jumper cable (not terribly expensive, but REALLY nice to have for tonal purposes). This amp is better than what can be had from the showroom floor. I'm asking $900.

As a couple of side notes, the American Deluxe Telecaster is for show only, and is not for sale. Also, I'm not looking for a trade. The amp I'm looking at is a bit spendy, so cash is king on this deal. Of course all reasonable (non-low-ball) offers will be considered.

This amp is a beautiful 2004 Vox AC30CC2. Always babied, and used primarily in my smoke free studio, this amp is in nearly new condition. This amp was used by Lincoln Brewster (Steve Perry's (Journey) former lead guitarist) when he played here in Salt Lake City last year! I have pictures of his settings (and the amp on stage next to one of my custom built amps) if you are interested.

I had it run through by a certified Vox technician shortly after buying it to be sure that all the internal solder joints were good and components in pristine shape. It also has a complete set of new JJ tubes. Further, it includes an original Vox amp cover and, of course, the Vox Reverb/Tremolo switch, and power cords. I did add some Celestion Blue speakers to it, but have kept the original Wharfedales as spares.

I'm willing to sell it in one of four ways:
1. Vox AC30CC2 with Celestion Blue Speakers Installed & Wharfedale Speakers as spares: $1,400

XMAX Class A Preamplifiers
The FireStudio Project starts with eight custom-designed high-voltage, discrete, XMAX Class A microphone preamplifiers. PreSonus knows that your preamps are a key component in the sonic quality of your recordings. The job of a microphone preamplifier is to boost microphone level signals to line level so that the signal can be converted from analog to digital. This mic to line boost is generally a preamplification of over 400 times the voltage of the original mic level signal. This preamplification stage is one of the most important stages that the signal will go through before converted to digital, and is why a high performance preamplifier is important to achieving great results. A cheap off-the-shelf, op-amp type preamp found in most interfaces translates into thin, noisy, and harsh results. With the XMAX preamp you get full-sounding, true-to-life sonic performance to serve your music best.

DICE II and JetPLL advanced platform technology
The FireStudio Project is loaded with the ultra-powerful DICE II FireWire chipset delivering 10 channels of professional-quality 24-bit inputs and outputs simultaneously. The strength of the DICE II chip lies with its ability to easily handle high channel count at high bit-rate while minimizing latency and load on your computer.
The synchronization of the FireStudio Project is handled by patented JetPLL jitter reduction technology. JetPLL incorporates noise shaping to virtually remove all audio band jitter. JetPLL ensures the highest converter performance possible, resulting in better stereo separation and clearer more transparent audio. JetPLL delivers ultra-fast locking to any digital format, through a wide range of frequencies and is extremely robust, and tolerant of wide variations in clock frequencies. JetPLL ensures near perfect clock performance when networking audio devices thus creating the most stable and robust synchronization to the computer and all devices synchronization with the FireStudio Project.

FireControl�zero-latency DSP mixing and routing
The FireStudio Project also includes the FireControl mixer/router: an 18x10 DSP-based application for flexible mixing and direct routing of any input to any output (including the headphone output) with zero latency. The FireControl software application lives between your FireStudio Project interface and your DAW software enabling the mixing and routing of input streams coming into your FireStudio Studio Project interface and playback stream coming from your DAW software. The FireControl is capable of creating up to five stereo mixes and then routing to the outputs of your FireStudio Project for headphone mixes and various aux sends. It allows you to provide everyone in the band with a custom mix.

Also, the FireStudio Project is loaded with internal flash memory so that all FireControl settings are saved and recalled in the FireStudio Project during power off/on. This allows you to configure your FireStudio as a standalone device, without being connected to a computer for uses such as a submixer, A/D and D/A-converter, headphone mixer, format converter, instrument, or microphone preamplifier.
