I am an artist and primarily work with materials from nature such as branches, vines, flowers, leaves, etc. I am looking for more materials to use in my art (I make beautiful little fairy furniture, houses and sculptural objects from nature). If you are pruning and working in your garden or yard right now and have some things that you are just going to discard, I could come and pick them up as I could possibly use them. I am looking for branches, vines, twigs, flowers, leaves, pods, herbs, leaf skeleton and anything else from nature. I usually use fairly small items, but possibly can use larger (branches, etc.) as well. If you have anything like this and would like them picked up, let me know.

I also am always looking for different kinds of objects that I also use in my artwork, such as: old fabric, ribbon and lace, old photos or handwriting, old beads or buttons, metal findings and unusual objects, old decorative papers, old frames or shadow boxes, glass domes, old clock or watch parts, thin bendable wire, old maps and other unique objects.

If you have any of these things you do not need, I would be happy to pick them up for you as I could use them in my art.

I suffer from fear of success, procrastination, and perfectionism. I need someone online to commit to a series of dialogues where you give me feedback and encouragement as I progress through a series of five paintings from photographs that I took at the Fort Bridger Rendezvous. This will probably be a commitment that will take a couple of months. I will be happy to exchange my opinions about your art if you happen to be an artist however I value opinions from non-artists.I am an excellent teacher and I find that discussing my techniuqe openly helps me finish. My goal is to complete the five paintings so that I can create a web page and present them to galleries and buyers. If I succeed my goal of five finished paintings with your help, I will paint something for you from my photographs or yours. I enjoy copying the old masters and I am good at it, having been trained in the old techniques. the painting in progress I have posted here shows you my process. It is 75% finished. I can print artwork on a dozen high quality papers including canvas and watercolor paper etc. I have two Canon digital presses and a wide format printer and can print almost any size up to 42" (full bleed).
The wide format printer costs between $6-$9 per sq ft. The digital presses print 13"x19" for around $2 ea. with no minimum quantity.

I am looking for an artist or artists who would want to paint a 12 foot high by 24 foot long outdoor wall located across from Neighborhood Housing Services of Salt Lake. Located at 625 W. 540 N. Neighborhood Housing holds many meetings with community and business leaders who will definitely take notice of the work. Artist(s) must supply their own materials and there is no compensation other then the expose you will receive. I've been trying to learn how to crochet on and off for the past 4 years. I fail, every time, and give up after my stomach hurts from the stress and am just fed up with it.

I'm determined obviously cause I always get back to it even if it's half a year later - once I've re-affirmed myself I'm not completely dyslexic with this art!

I'm a ceramic artist but aquired all those skills through personal experience - I am a hands on learner, I cant learn some things (such as knot tying and crocheting) by just looking at books, reading very articulated instructions, and watching videos. I JUST CANT. And I feel pathetic about it. When i have a teacher/tutor that can help me with it in person, and observe my mistakes - I learn quickly.

I'm 20 years old college student, and can commute if that's necessary. I am a guy, so I hope that's not an issue - . I'm a craftsman and have needed this skill for so long. Name a price. Or even a skill I could teach you back in return - I'm great with computers, html and photoshop. I am great at giving didgeridoo lessons. I'm a rock climber so can teach the basics very well. Whatever is requested in exchange for this skill.
Jeez idk what else to say i just badly want to learn how to crochet and will GREATLY appreciate any help/information/direction.

The world of fashion and modeling, as we all know, is grueling and cutthroat. Many beautiful young women have been turned away from modeling, having been told that they were 'too short, too fat, too old, too whatever' to be successful as a model. Society teaches us to believe that we need to meet certain criteria to be 'good enough.'

Well I don't know about you but I'm sick of that mentality!

So I thought it'd be a good idea to make a statement about it through a video. My intention is to post it onto Youtube. I want to get a bunch of women of ALL TYPES to walk a runway to show that beauty, fashion and womanliness don't confine themselves simply into a narrow definition. (Similar to the Dove beauty campaign.) I want everyone who walks the runway to project confidence and individuality.
Each person will hold a sign saying "Too big", "too short", etc. and when they reach the end of the runway they toss, rip, stomp on their sign. We will no longer allow labels to hold us back!

So anyone who's interested in participating please contact me.
In fact, let's not make this just about the girls. Any guys who've ever wanted to model, come on down!
I think this will be fun way to express celebrate the diversity we share among us. I think it will speak to a lot of people.

ALSO, if you have any skills in video production, on any level, and are interested in being part of this project, feel free to contact me. If you have access to a runway or fashion designer's clothing or know someone who does who'd be willing to lend their goods/services, please let me know!

Hosted by the Coastal Arts League, Half Moon Bay, California
Jurors: Barry Haynes, Janet Jones & Stephen Chalmers
First Prize: $2,000 (Over $3,500 in total prizes) (prizes in US dollars)

theme, “Through a Lens: Energy, Strength or Power” is about
conveying a sense of energy, a sense of strength, or a sense
of power to the viewer using only your image.
